Numeric span tag data type support for custom traces

In its current implementation all custom tag data are treated as string data and filter by the related operators (is present, equals, not present, contains etc). Please see a screenshot of the existing operators available for custom tags via the Instana Analytics Dashboard UI :current_custom_tag_operators.png
However, the value contained in the tag is not always a string, and in some cases contains numeric data. To improve the analytics and filtering capabilities of such data, it would be useful to be able to create custom traces that contain numeric tags such that numerical logical operators like GREATER THAN and LESS THAN may be used to filter and analyze custom trace tags.

This is an important feature for those migrating from New Relic.

We set this to "Future consideration" because we think it is a valuable extension to the product. However this is low priority and I am not sure this will see the light of day within 12 to 18 months.

    Best,
