Use Case - A device is up and running, however a specific object is down for ‘maintenance’. It would be nice to be able to suppress Alerting for that specific object or group of objects. Example: Circuit maintenance on a router with more than one circuit: Users may not want to silence all alerts for the device, just the affected object(s).

Building on the previous two comments, this isn't merely a suggestion or a possibility. It's essential that it be implemented. Using (MTTR) time tracking for alert resolutions tends to cast a negative perspective.
This is huge, because right now maintenance windows are all or nothing. Put the API needs to be updated to be able to specify an object or just the entire device.
This would be a HUGE help to us for things like circuit maintenances, downstream or upstream device maintenance, etc.
