Requesting Launch Template support for AWS Virtual Machine Scaling Merged

Currently, Turbonomic is capable of updating the attributes in AWS Launch Configurations if the virtual machine belongs to an Auto Scaling Group. But, Launch Template is a more flexible and powerful way to define and launch instances with predefined settings, while Launch Configuration is a simpler, older feature that offer less flexibility and fewer advanced features.

Turobnomic does not support Launch Templates at the moment. Tt will be advantageous to make Launch Template updates available from Turbonomic side, since development teams are moving to Launch Templates rather than using Launch Configurations nowadays.

Going forward, there is no way for users to identify that a particular virtual machine belongs to an ASG/EMR Cluster etc. from the Turbonomic Console. It will be more accurate and effective if there's a way to categorize the cluster based servers separately in Turbonomic console, since the action executions can impact all the servers in clusters.
